DEPARTMENT'S ASSETS
The Department provides a lot of facilities in the field of Research and Development.Several research scholars are carrying out innovative activities under the able guidance of the teachers of this Department.The Department is offering both full-time and part-time PhD to potential students in diverse areas such as Conducting Polymers, Thin Films, Non-Linear Optics and Liquid Crystals.
Laboratories: Low Temperature Characterisation lab, Microprocessor lab, NanoTechnology lab,Liquid Crystals lab,Materials Science lab, Computer lab etc.The Department has several sophisticated Instruments like Scanning Electron Microscope, X-Ray Diffractometer,Universal Testing Machine, Nd:Yag laser,He-Ne laser.
Important equipments: Mach-Zehnder Interferometer, oscilloscope (60 MHz and 20 MHz), EPROM Programmer, Transmission Electron Microscope,Scanning Electron Microscope,Universal Testing Mechine, X-Ray Diffractometer,Different Analog & Digital communication kits, 8085/8086-Trainer kit, Function Generators,Different types of Multimeters, Digital Oscilloscope and 24 port L3 Switch & many more. |
